A bright, open-plan ground floor includes a super-modern kitchen and, through a wide archway, a rustic dining table to one side and a cosy lounge area with a sofa, a few easy chairs and a log burner. The space then flows naturally outside to a secluded walled courtyard. Here Santanyí town’s famous golden marés stone is complemented by a long, shimmering pool and neatly planted Mediterranean flora. You’ll find plenty of poolside loungers too, to dry off on after a cooling dip. And if you enjoy grilling alfresco, there’s a large built-in barbecue, while original feeding troughs hark back to the property’s former rustic life.

This two-floor townhouse villa sleeps up to six guests in its three bright and modern bedrooms. One is found on the ground floor, which provides a double bed and an in-room shower. The other two bedrooms are upstairs: one is a spacious double with a stylish in-room soaking tub, ensuite shower room and garden views, and the other is a twin room with a seating area and ensuite shower. 

Also on the upper floor is an elevated patio area decorated with antique tiles, and the perfect spot for enjoying a sun-downer as day turns to night. And when you’re ready to go out to eat, you’re just a short stroll from Santanyí’s collection of excellent dining options. Ready for the beach the next day?
