Golf Courses to Play in Mallorca
The gleaming sun and the light breeze make Mallorca a heaven for golfers, who have twenty courses to choose from!
Most of Majorcan golf courses stand out for having breathtaking mountain and sea views. Indeed, Alcanada and Son Gual have been recently ranked amongst the best courses of Europe with 18 holes each. Son Vida, Santa Ponsa and Ponient are also very popular!
With the high quality of these courses it is not surprising that many competitions such as The Spanish Professional Championship or The Balearic Islands Trophy are held in Mallorca.
Here you will find an insight into the different golf courses of the island:
- Golf Club Alcanada: set in the north of Mallorca. It is an 18-hole course which was inaugurated in 2003. You will challenge yourself in its difficult greens! Additionally, the course enjoys of impressive views to the Alcudia Bay.
- Golf de Andratx: this 18-hole course is considered one of the most challenging of the Mediterranean. Experienced and famous players have played in this course and it is actually used for several tournaments. Moreover it has views to the crystalline coastline.
- Real Golf Bendinat: one of Mallorca’s shorter courses yet one of the most varied in terms of difficulty levels. The course has 18 holes and was inaugurated in 1995. The views to Bendinat’s castle are remarkable and will improve your experience!
- Canyamel Golf: mature and challenging course located in the north-east of Mallorca. It is surrounded by olive, fig and palm trees. This course has outstanding views that you will truly enjoy while playing. In fact, from the 5th hole you will see the beautiful neighbour island of Menorca!
- Capdepera Golf: the challenge in this golf course is guaranteed since it has a mix of long open and tight fairways, wide greens, double tier greens and six lakes! Additionally, you will be delighted by the rocky hills of Llevant. What else could you ask for?
- Golf Park Puntiró: this course has been designed for causing the minimum environmental impact. It has 18 holes and two lakes to make the game more challenging!
- Golf Pollensa: 9-hole course with l views to the mountains. This course has so many hazards therefore it is for brave golfers who would like to be tested.
- Son Gual Golf: 18-hole championship course which was ranked in the Top100 golf courses of Europe! In fact, many tournaments have been held here. This course has gardens, a lake, panoramic views and a massage area to relax after the game!
- Son Muntaner Golf: located at ten minute-drive from Palma, Son Muntaner Golf has 18 holes and it is surrounded by olive trees and flowers.
