More than 50 km of beaches

If you have decided to spend your holidays in a villa near the beach, Mallorca certainly is the right choice. The island has more than 200 beaches with a total length of more than 50 kilometres. There is a wide variety which ensures you can find the ideal beach for you and your loved ones. Some beaches are well-known and a destination in themselves. For instance, the beach at the end of the gorge Torrent de Pareis in the shadow of the majestic Puig Major in the Tramuntana Mountains. You can reach this beach by car following the famous meandering Sa Calobra route or by boat from Puerto de Sóller. Another example is Es Trenc beach with its white sand, turquoise waters and dunes, and measuring almost one kilometre on the island’s south coast. Smaller but no less well-known is the Playa de Portals Vells in the southwest of the island.

No need to travel to the Caribbean to spend a fantastic beach holiday. Mallorca’s beaches are among the world’s best, according to TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards. The site's users voted for the Playa de Muro as one of the world’s top 25 beaches. This sandy beach with crystal-clear, shallow waters in the north of the island stretches for more than three kilometres. It’s the only Spanish beach that reached the world’s top 25 in 2022.

Quality under the Blue Flag

All the beaches in Mallorca have in common, incredible beauty and quality. Proof of this quality is the Blue Flags hoisted at many of the island’s beaches. The Blue Flag is a label for quality and sustainability in coastal areas. In 2021, 21 beaches in Mallorca obtained this certification. You can find them in the municipalities of Felanitx, Muro, Palma, Pollença, Ses Salines, Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, Santa Margalida, SantanyíandSon Servera.
