  • Cala de Formentor: a cove of fine white sand surrounded by pine trees and holm oaks. In high season, it can get busy.
  • Cala de San Vicente: a sandy beach with crystalline water and located between Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa.
  • Sa Calobra: a set of two beaches sheltered between rocky cliffs divided by the Torrent de Pareis. It is difficult to reach but the scenery is worth it.
  • Cala Figuera: it is located in the bay of Formentor with crystalline waters surrounded by pine trees.

Regarding restaurants, in the main square of the town there are all sorts of restaurants and cafes to choose from.

You will find wine cellars where you can taste the best wines on the island. An example is Bodegas Ca'n Vidalet, which is just 4 km away from the town. The perfect place for relaxing while drinking a glass of chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, moscatel, merlot or syrah. In fact, since Mallorca has numerous wine cellars, Pollensa celebrates a Wine Fair during the months of March or April. It is a fair devoted to tasting the island's different wines and around 40 wineries participate. 

What makes Pollensa special?

Exploring Pollensa is like visiting different periods of history. The medieval alleys that lead into town provide a unique atmosphere, while the central square has a parish church that transports you to the 18th century. 

Moreover, there are particular streets that are flanked by superb 19th-century buildings. All of these are combined with charming restaurants, coffee shops and fashion boutiques. Reaching the top of El Calvari is one of the most iconic activities to do in Pollensa; it is a 365-step stairway from the top of which you gaze over a spectacular panoramic view of the town.

Pollensa completely changes its local colour every Sunday when a lively street market is held.

Furthermore, Pollensa is famous for its culture. In fact, a famous festival of classical music is held in the town in which musicians from all over the world come to play.

Additionally, Pollensa has specific corners to enjoy impressive and breathtaking views for instance in the Cape Formentor  and in Es Colomer. The Puig de Maria is a mountain set in Pollensa, perfect for hiking and the trail ends at a pretty chapel.
