The inland towns of the island, like this one, each have their own character to discover. They are towns rooted in an agricultural past with all the charm of their rural farming tradition. Here you can escape the coastal crowds while being an equal distance to all corners of the island. Sencelles comprises the villages Biniali, Ruberts, Jornets, Ca’s Canar and Son Arrosa, with similar features to Sencelles, with traditional Mallorcan architecture and strongly defined by the agriculture so important here. History & Culture

In Sencelles and the neighbouring town of Montuiri, there are important ancient remains and archaeological sites. You can discover the island's ancient past in large stone monuments called Talayots. Moreover, an important figure in the culture of the island is Sister Francinaina Cirer (1781–1855) who was born in Sencelles. In Mallorca she is worshipped for her healing powers and was beatified by Pope John Paul II.
