In fact, the wooden railway, which was built in 1911 and connects Sóller with Palma, is one of the town's most recognisable landmarks. The journey continues on a small tram from the town of Sóller to the beautiful Port of Sóller.

The most popular festival in Sóller is called Es Firó, when they celebrate their victory against the Moorish invasions in 1561. They even make a reenactment of the historic battle, from the Moorish landing and ending with fireworks.
